ESTec Systems Unveils 150iH Top Drive
Wednesday, 27 June 2001 saw the debut of ESTec's
latest product, the ESTec 150iH IntegraLine Top Drive, the first
creation of ESTec Oilfield. Its debut took place in West Edmonton
before more than 100 representatives of government, industry, and
the media.
Attending were the Honourable Minister of Justice
and Attorney General of Canada, Anne McLellan, representing the
Government of Canada, John Williams, Member of Parliament for St.
Albert-Morinville, Alberta, Deputy Minister of the Alberta Department
of Economic Development Barry Mehr, Wendy Kinsella and Leroy Chahley,
City of Edmonton Council members, and Dr. Lorenz Sigurdson from
Mechanical Engineering at the University of Alberta.
The debut was preceded by an article in The
Edmonton Journal that described the Top Drive and its promise for
rigs in Canada.
The Justice Minister, Deputy Minister, and Council
members spoke, as did Anthony B. Nelson, President of ESTec Systems,
and Allan R. Nelson, founder and President of Allan R. Nelson Engineering.
The speakers joined the audience in watching the first demonstrations
that immediately followed unveiling of the 150iH IntegraLine Top
Drive.
Members of the press and the oil industry stayed
for a luncheon that followed and to examine the Top Drive and discuss
it with ESTec Oilfield's engineering and fabrication team.
